November 11th, 2024 – HIFOOD and Crust & Crumb Bakery have won two Plant-Based Excellence Awards for their joint submission of plant-based, wood-fired pizza concepts enriched with PROTEIOS, HIFOOD’s Textured Vegetable Proteins, as follows: Gold Medal for the Protein Woodfired Pizza with Semi-Dried Tomatoes, Basil, and Kale; Silver Medal for the Protein Woodfired Alt-Meaty Pizza.

At the 22nd World Congress of Food Science and Technology, HIFOOD’s innovation in protein enrichment thanks to its plant-based microproteins was recognized. Parma, September 11th – At the 22nd World Congress of Food Science and Technology – held in Rimini from September 8th to 12th – HIFOOD, a company part of CSM Ingredients group that specialized in the research, development, and production of natural-origin ingredients, won the Global Food Industry Award in the “Most Innovative Process” category thanks to Micro Protein, a new range of micronized plant-based, allergen-free and clean label proteins. CSM Ingredients has achieved a significant step forward in its commitment to sustainability. Thanks to the business partnership with Tetra Pak®, the leading food processing and packaging solutions company, starting from the beginning of this year, CSM Ingredients is transitioning from the standard version of Tetra Brik® Aseptic to the new plant-based Tetra Brik® Aseptic for its vast range of Non-Dairy Creams produced at its plant in Crema, Italy.

The research, commissioned to Nielsen IQ, now includes forecast data for the upcoming Christmas season. For 2023, an increase in volumes is estimated at 26.7 thousand tons, with a growth in the artisanal channel ranging from 3% to 8%.

Luxembourg (September 11th, 2023) – CSM Ingredients, a global player in research, innovation, and the production of food ingredients, this weekend celebrated the 100th anniversary of its historic production facility in Crema, Italy. The location not only serves as the Group’s Italian corporate headquarters, but also as a leading production site for margarine, vegetable creams, and frozen bakery products destined for worldwide distribution. On the occasion, a new production line for margarine was also inaugurated, bringing the site’s production capacity to over 70.000 tons per year and thus allowing to fulfill the growing global demand even further.
